"i think u need study asia history" Sounds a lot like you
Because the Rising Sun Flag was made BEFORE WW2.
And Currently in Japan, it's used as a Symbol of Tradition and Good Fortune.

That's not true.

I live in Japan and the rising sun flag is considered as bad as the German Nazi flag- that's fact. Its also known as the imperial flag, before the Meiji restoration of 1886 the flag that is used today (Sun Spot flag) was used. Japanese imperialism is considered as bad as the Nazis were to a lot of Japanese people today. So yes- this image is completely wrong if the "Game" was set between 1886 and 1946. So yes, I agree with Sapiella- read a book.

Grow up kid.

If you're siting Wikipedia as your research then you shouldn't attack people's insight to begin with.

Then A. Don't attack people giving you facts which you know nothing about.
B. Go find another site where kids love drama (I recommend facebook and twitter, they have subjects like governmental debates, constitutional law changes and racism/sexism).
C. Use the site for what it is suppost to be used for which is art, support and feedback, not childish crap like this: technmounten.deviantart.com/ar….
D. grow up, STFU and learn how to interact with you fellow man without being a complete tool.

Ever sat at home and just wondered that maybe, just maybe; you might be the source of the drama you encounter on this site?

I'd loooooooove an Assassin's Creed game taking place during the Sengoku Period of Japan, that would be amazing, and possibly get me interested in the series again.

Don't use this flag. This is just like nationalsozialistisch, called Nazi. Japan did act of aggression around entire Asia and did kill lots of and lots of innocent people. When they did it, they used this flag. It is as same as the flag of German Reich. You need to stop using this image.

By The logic your using, The Union Jack, Tricolour, and Stars And Stripes is offensive and should never be used. Britain, France, and the United States each have had just as many atrocities as Imperial Japan, if not More.

I think your argument could be accepted in the case of Hinomaru(the Japanese national flag), but not in the case of Rising sun flag. The problem is, RSF is not a national flag. It's an ensign flag, the flag of Imperial Japanese military. The flags you mentioned don't mean specific ideology(Every flag has its own meaning though), but RSF does. It is the symbol of Japanese militarism, so it attached to Japanese colonialism and war crimes of Japan. Just like Bundesflagge(the German Flag) doesn't, but Hakenkreuz does. That's why RSF is offensive to Asian people. It is equated with Balkenkreuz in Eastern Asia.

Not accurate. This flag was adopted by the JMSDF (Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force) in 1952 (well after WWII), and was a common japanese flag-design for decades before the world war.

The flag actually beacame a symbol of the FALL of the Imperial Japanese Navy (the navy that was active during the war).

Not accurate. This is the ensign that the Imperial Japanese Navy used from 1889 to 1945. In Japan it is not seen as offensive by most people, but in places like China and Korea where Japanese military presence was the most strong it is extremely offensive. (for example: Japanese fans and players were warned not to show it at the Beijing Olympics because it would be insensitive and might have set someone off)

Basically, this flag is like the southern Confederate flag and the Nazi swastika. It may not be offensive to everyone, but you still don't use it because of what it represents.

Not yelling at you, just saying. You might want to use the current national flag next time. [link]
